SIA UNITRUCK has installed a REACTON Fire Suppression automatic fire suppression system on a PONSSE Scorpion harvester.
Before installation, a technical inspection of the machine was carried out, with particular attention given to the engine compartment and hydraulic system areas, where the risk of fire is highest. Based on the findings, the system was adapted to the specific configuration of the machine.
In this solution, the REACTON system uses an ABC dry powder extinguishing agent designed for:
– rapid flame suppression;
– interruption of combustion in electrical and mechanical components;
– limiting fire spread in the early stages.
Flame detection operates fully automatically, without an external power source — the detection line triggers discharge as soon as a critical temperature is reached.
